The Tuatapere Humpridge Track office is located at 31 Orawia Road, Tuatapere. All walkers must check-in at our office prior to starting the walk. The following travel durations are to our office; 1 hour and 15 minutes from Invercargill, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Te Anau and 2 hours and 30 minutes from Queenstown. The start our the track is located at the Rarakau Carpark which is a further 30 minute drive from our office.

Transport From Queenstown, Te Anau and Invercargill
The Humpridge Shuttle collects and drops off in both Te Anau and Invercargill (see the schedule below). If your group has four or more people, the Humpridge Shuttle provides direct pick-up and drop-off in Queenstown, both down to Tuatapere and on the way home. For groups of fewer than four, the Queenstown legs are shared with our transport partner Tracknet via Mossburn, with the Humpridge Shuttle connecting you between Mossburn and Tuatapere in each direction. Either way, bookings are placed through us so every leg stays connected.
If travelling from Queenstown, Te Anau or Invercargill, then passengers will need to travel down to Tuatapere the day before their designated walk starting date. One can return to Invercargill, Te Anau or Queenstown the same day as finishing, as long as walkers have come off the Track by 2.30pm, or alternatively, the following day at the scheduled times.
Bookings are essential, as the shuttle does not run if there are no bookings for a particular day.
When booking our any of our transport shuttles for your walk, you must book the return track transport as well. (See below)

Tuatapere to Rarakau Car Park $45 return per person
Track transport, in the Humpridge shuttle, is available from Tuatapere to the start of the Track at Rarakau (and back again). Track transport is available every day during the summer season. We will pick you up from your accommodation at 7:50am if staying in the Tuatapere township. All transport must be booked and paid in advance. You can do this at the time of booking your walk.
